Project OverviewProject Tracking through a Project List |
|
|
PA can be used for IT Project Management, Engineering Project Management, Business Project Management or Construction Project Management. The first step in using PA Project Management Software is to initiate a project. You need to create a project list which includes a project overview for each project. This project methodology will result in a clear understanding of what projects are in the pipeline. There is some mandatory project information that needs to be entered when setting up a project overview in the project list. You can also record additional information such as the business problem that is being addressed by the project, dependencies, deliverables, and what is excluded from scope. Finding the answers to these sorts of questions will help the project manager focus the project team and the project sponsor on why they are undertaking the project, and what they are expected to deliver. Much of this information is on the second screen - see the tabs "Goals" and "Parameters". Whilst there is considerable information that can be input, in order to use most of the functionality of Project Administrator, only the project name need be entered. Once this is done, you can start logging Issues, Risks, Scope changes, Diary Notes, Budgets and Expenditure, Action Items, Time sheets etc. |
